Tina holds the distinction of being our very first contributor to share multiple stories on No Extra Words. Her short story “21 Days” will be featured next week, and her short story “Chipped” is scheduled for Episode 23 in late November. Which means she entrusted us with a second contribution before even hearing how the first one sounded, so I sincerely hope it meets with her approval. “21 Days” first appeared in the Winter 2013 edition of the Potomac Review and is used with permission on No Extra Words.

Tina Tocco’s flash fiction has appeared in Roanoke Review, River Styx, Crab Creek Review, Harpur Palate, Passages North, Portland Review, Italian Americana, Rathalla Review, and Fiction Fix, among others. She was a finalist in CALYX’s 2013 Flash Fiction Contest, a semifinalist in The Conium Review’s 2014 Flash Fiction Contest, and an honorable mention in the River Styx 2015 Schlafly Beer Micro-Brew Micro-Fiction Contest. Her interview on flash and the craft of writing, “No Wasted Words,” appears in Roanoke Review. Tina earned her MFA in creative writing from Manhattanville College, where she was editor-in-chief of Inkwell.

Happy listening,
Kris
